‘Violent Night 2’ Puts A Ho-Ho-Hold On Post Thanksgiving 2026 Release Date

Violent Night 2 from 87North and Universal is coming, and it’s set for a Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2026 theatrical release.

The first Tommy Wirkola directed movie, written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, follows an embittered Santa played by Stranger Things‘ David Harbour, as he battles mercenaries who’ve taken a wealthy family hostage in their home. The original pic also starred John Leguizamo, Alex Hassell and Beverly D’Angelo. In the sequel, Santa suits up again. Wirkola is back to helm the Casey and Miller penned sequel.

87North founders Kelly McCormick and David Leitch are back as producers.
