Who Are the Producers Getting Movies Made?
Kelly McCormick is a producer and a major player in the action genre whose movies have grossed over $2.9 billion worldwide. She is best known for producing the box-office hits "Bullet Train" starring Brad Pitt, and the neon-noir cult classic "Atomic Blonde" starring Charlize Theron, as well executive producing "Deadpool 2" starring Ryan Reynolds and "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw" starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
McCormick is also widely recognized for her work in elevating the stunt community by creating the first ever "Stunt Designer" title for "The Fall Guy" and for collaborating with the Academy of Arts & Sciences in an Oscar for Best Achievement in Stunt Design, which will make its debut in 2028.
McCormick is the founder of the world-renowned 87North Productions, alongside her partner and husband David Leitch.

In Over Your Dead Body, Weaving teams up with Jason Segel for an R-rated horror remake of The Trip, the 2021 Norwegian psychological thriller starring Noomi Rapace. The pair star as an unhappily married couple who retreat to a secluded cabin on a vacation, whilst each plan the other's murder in secret.
Timothy Olyphant, the three-time Emmy nominee for Justified, Deadwood: The Movie, and The Mandalorian, also features in an eye-catching ensemble, which is directed by Saturday Night Live contributor Jorma Taccone. The movie received mostly positive reviews from critics, earning a 70% average score on review site Rotten Tomatoes. One critic praised "Jorma Taccone’s extreme take on the gore-as-entertainment genre," whilst another heralded "the deadpan dialogue, rapid-fire twists, and scene-stealing performances from Timothy Olyphant and Juliette Lewis."

Santa's back to spread cheer and merriment with "Violent Night 2." Just kidding. The sequel to 2022's "Violent Night" will see David Harbour's St. Nick fighting even more bad guys in a follow-up that, judging by the "Violent Night 2" trailer, will live up to its title even more so than the original. Director Tommy Wirkola returns for the sequel, which is also shepherded by action maestro David Leitch's 87North Productions. Leitch and his wife Kelly McCormick serve as producers, and /Film's Ethan Anderton caught up with the latter to ask about American action movies and what they can learn from their foreign counterparts. For McCormick, it's all about the emotion and conveying a character arc through combat.
