Global Production Awards 2025 Winners: Sustainable Production - Film

This year’s award went to an individual film production that showcased best practice in sustainable, green filming, delivering a plan on sustainability with a measurable contribution to carbon reduction and offsetting, along with benefits to the environment and local community.

Universal Pictures’ high-octane action film Love Hurts, from 87North, won the category by impressing the judges with its commitment to sustainability throughout development, production and marketing. Filmmakers also participated in the NBCUniversal Sustainable Production Program, which included implementing its sustainable production standards to meet minimum metrics for equipment.
